• Renovation project of bakery store "Beker" in Gkyzi, Athens. (2014)

The main idea for this project was to reinvent the typical function of a bakery store. The goal was to design a new space that improve the quality of services according to the modern customer needs. This required to integrate new services such as serving instant coffee, soft drinks and even sweets. In order to accomplish this the store needed more space so, in collaboration with the owner of the store, we achieved to expand to the store next door. This decision gave us the proper space to engage the services all together.

The main idea was to design a store that gives the opportunity to costumers not only to pass by and just buy their bakeries but to have the ability to make a small stop for a coffee break or even to taste the bakery goodies before the decide to buy. The proposal involved using ceramic traditional tiles and factory bricks and cement colors just to create an vintage style reminding the old bakery architecture style over the past years.
